May is for Mary
Hi! This is John Nemmer again. I would like to talk with you about Mary. Now, we greatly honor her as both the Mother of God and our own mother. We don’t ever worship her but ask her for prayers. Jesus loves and honors His Mother in Heaven. We are also doing the same thing here on Earth. Mary was ever virgin. She was conceived without original sin and never once sinned in all her life. She was taken body and soul into Heaven, and was crowned The Queen of Heaven and Earth. She is now sitting at the right hand of Jesus, always prays for us, and tells Him whatever we all need.
Mary is our mother in Heaven. When Jesus was dying on the cross, He said “Woman behold your son. Son behold your mother.” When He did this, He didn’t only entrust Mary to St. John but to all of us His Holy Church. Mary loves us - her little children. She only wants to lead us closer to her Son so we will be ready for Heaven someday.
Let’s ask her to do that with a humble heart. This month of May let us open our hearts to our Heavenly Mother, so she can draw us even closer to her divine Son.
May the peace and joy of our Lord Jesus Christ, the help of the Holy Spirit, and the glory of God the Father be always with you all! Amen.
